This is my favorite call for making cow sounds hands down. I have a lot of calls and a handful of them work really good for me but this is by far my favorite and my go to call the past two seasons for cow sounds. It is really easy to use. I have experience calling elk but I am not a professional. What I like most is the ability to do soft quiet cow calling and the ability to change the tone with this diaphragm. My two archery bulls from this season and last were killed while using this call. Their others calls are great to but nothing beats this for ease of use and making soft quiet calls that are very often needed to sound realistic.
First, let me say I'm not the best caller...I try hard! I've used some of the big name brands the last few years and they sound ok, but they just never seem consistent. I heard the Go Hunt guys talking about Riven, so I gave them a shot...how did I miss these? They are so easy and consistent...I actually feel like a good caller. Will be in my pack going forward!

When it comes to mouth calls, their life span is known to be short, but they can have the ability to last with proper care. The key is how you take care of them. There are multiple ways to care for your mouth call. We recommend the following tactics to help prolong the life of your calls.
- Keep them out of the Sun
- Store in refrigerator, especially in the off-season.
- Avoid areas with high exposure to heat such as glove box or center console
- Utilize multiple calls to disperse stress
UV rays might be one of the harshest elements when it comes to a mouth calls lifespan. Exposing your mouth call to UV can vaporize the latex and cause it to break down 10x faster than normal wear and tear. We recommend you DO NOT store your mouth calls in areas such as: - On the dash of the truck
- On a table or windowsill
- Any areas with high exposure to heat
